Plan to Attend The Northwest Tea Festival

Put it on your calendar now: it’s October 5 & 6 at Seattle Center, Fischer Pavillion.  For anyone who has even a slight interest in tea, this is a great event to do a lot of tasting, talk with knowledgeable professionals and take interesting classes—many of which are free!  This is the sixth year of the NW Tea Festival and it really is a place to discover tea.  Many vendors have free tea tasting and might be giving out packets of tea samples.  Most vendors sell product at the Festival and sometimes offer wonderful discounts.

Experience Tea will be there this year helping with a Korean Tea Ceremony and teaching two classes.  We’ll also have a booth to promote our classes and offer tea and tea things for sale.

When you go, take a tasting sheet or booklet so you can make note of the teas you like as you taste.  You can jot down the name of the vendor, the origin of the tea, the type and what you like about it.  This will come in handy weeks later when you want to find it again.

The Festival coordinators are still finalizing the program, but probably by September 1 you will be able to go to the website, www.nwteafestival.com  and actually start signing up for some of the tastings and classes.   Most importantly, put it on your calendar–time will fly and October will be here before we know it!
