Scented or Flavored White Teas

White tea can be any cultivar (varietal) from Camillia sinensis. The process after plucking defines white tea—which is that almost nothing is done to the tea leaf after it is picked. After plucking, the leaves (or just the unfurled buds) are brought back to the processing facility and laid out to whither and naturally air dry. In some cases, because this tea is not de-enzymed like green tea, it may have some slight oxidation due to incidental bruising in transport. The flavor ranges from very light and mild to slightly toasty—depending on the cultivar and whether any bruising occurred.

White Ginger Orange Peach

This is a Bai Mu Dan white tea from China with ginger root, orange peel, peach pieces, and other botanicals. This tea has that lovely combination of flavors to relax and savor — not too forward, yet still very special.

Pomegranate White

White Peony with pomegranate peels, safflowers and pomegranate flavor. The steeped tea has a subtle flavor and lends itself well to quiet moments after dinner.

White Pear

Premium white tea from Fujian region of China flavored with sweet pear. A wonderfully smooth and subtle treat, great both hot and cold. If you are beginning your exploration of white tea, this pear tea will serve a wonderful introduction.

White Blueberry

What an intoxicating scent and it tastes as good as it smells. This flavored white tea from China is flavored with sweet blueberries and appeals to all age groups. When the Studio opened, we featured this tea as one of our first tasting teas–it was a huge hit.
